Copenhagen Pictorial
'Wonderful, Wonderful Copenhagen...' as the song goes. And indeed, the city is a great place to visit. Getting there for many people means arriving at the city's Kastrup Airport (CPH), one of the oldest in Europe, opening in April 1925. Kastrup has served Copenhagen ever since (other than a close examination of a new airport on the island of Saltholm in the 1980s) and, like all airports, has grown and expanded. And like all other airports again, traffic has tumbled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the kind help of the media relations team at CPH, this pictorial overview looks back at happier days in Denmark.
