News: Lufthansa ends Ju52 flights
Deutsche Lufthansa Berlin-Stiftun, the foundation that operates a vintage Junkers Ju-52/3m in the colours of Lufthansa, has announced that it has lost the support of a financial supporter. The 83-year old aircraft has been used to fly thousands of revenue customers on pleasure flights across Europe since the 1980s.
In a statement on the Ju-52's dedicated Facebook page, DLBS said:
Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear followers of the dlbs website, dear friends of Ju 52.
Unfortunately, we have to inform you today that there will be no longer flights with passengers with the Ju 52 Lufthansa as a donor of the dlbs has decided to no longer provide its previous generous financial support for commercial flights. The reasons for this are diverse.
Currently, the future use of the aircraft is checked, a decision has not yet fallen. We will keep you informed about this page.
