London, 2025. A protester holds a placard glorifying Iran's supreme ruler under the slogan "Choose the right side of history." While Tehran executes its own citizens, Britain's streets fill with those cheering for the hangmen.
When the Left Marches for Tyrants: How Britain's Activists Lost Their Moral Compass - There's a poison in the Western conscience. You can see it in a single image – London streets, a parade of Left-wing activists marching in "solidarity" with Iran. A placard held high reads: Be on the right side of history.
The irony could choke you. This is what moral decay looks like dressed up as virtue. While Iran hangs a thousand souls in a year – women, dissidents, gay men, the poor, the voiceless – Western activists march not in protest of the killers, but in sympathy with them.
The Mullahs butcher their own people, and the British Left responds not with outrage but applause. Every weekend our cities fill with the same mobs chanting "From the river to the sea", waving Hamas flags, blaming Israel, damning the West.
But where are the marches for the women executed for removing a headscarf? Where are the placards for the boys hanged from cranes in Shiraz? Where are the tears for the Kurdish activists, the Baluch prisoners, the tortured, the disappeared? There are none.
And there won't be. Because they don't fit the script. The Left has made a devil's bargain with Islamism – a union of grievance and guilt.
One brings the street power, the other brings the moral cover. Together they wage war on the West while pretending to fight oppression. It's why the same people who howl about "colonialism" fall silent when Iran arms Hamas, or when China herds Uyghurs into camps.
Their outrage isn't moral – it's political. It's selective, scripted, and hollow. And it's not just the street mobs. They have allies in Westminster. When Israel struck back against Iran earlier this year – targeting the regime that arms Hamas and bankrolls terror – a clutch of Left-wing MPs rushed to the microphones to defend Tehran.
Several left-wing MPs all lined up to condemn Israel's "escalation" and call for "de-escalation" – the favourite euphemism for letting the Mullahs off the hook. They joined or endorsed the very marches that paraded Ayatollah posters through London.
Not one of them spoke for the Iranian women hanged from cranes. Not one mentioned the Kurdish prisoners shot in the back. Their outrage begins and ends where their ideology tells it to.

This is the modern British Left: loud for Hamas, meek for Tehran; quick to call Israel "genocidal," silent when the Mullahs slaughter a thousand of their own.
They don't stand with the oppressed. They stand with anyone who hates the West enough to burn its flag.
The Left once claimed to speak for freedom. Now it marches for theocrats. It once fought tyranny. Now it excuses it. That is not progress – it's collapse. A civilisation that can no longer tell martyr from murderer, victim from fanatic, has lost its moral compass entirely.
When Londoners chant for Hamas and carry the flag of Iran, they are not standing with the oppressed. They are spitting on the graves of the oppressed. They are marching not for justice, but against truth itself.
History will remember who spoke up when the Mullahs hanged their thousand – and who held the banners for the hangmen.
