SAS updates 4Q19 737-600 operation SAS filed service update for Boeing 737-600 aircraft, as the airline tentatively moves forward last scheduled 737-600 flight to 29NOV19, instead of 01DEC19. As of 30AUG19, planned 737-600 operation in Oct/Nov 2019 as follows.

Kuwait Airways W19 London service increases Kuwait Airways in winter 2019/20 season is continuing service increase for Kuwait City – London Heathrow route, on/after 27OCT19. The airline will continue to operate 12 weekly flights, compared to 10 weekly in winter 2018/19 season.

The A330- 900neo will operate Denpasar – Medan Kuala Namu – London Heathrow routing from 29OCT19. Configuration is C24Y277, featuring 1-2-1 layout in Business Class.

Eurowings suspends Berlin – London route in W19 Eurowings in winter 2019/20 is suspending Berlin Tegel – London Heathrow route, as the airline closed reservation for flights between 27OCT19 and 28MAR20. The airline currentlyoperates this route twice a day with germanwings Airbus A319 aircraft.

British Airways in summer 2020 season plans operational aircraft changes for London Heathrow – Seoul Incheon route, reflected in recent schedule update. The oneWorld member plans to operate Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft from 01SEP20, replacing 787-8. Current schedule is listed until 01OCT20 inclusive. First Class cabin is not sold on this market on board Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

Wizz Air UK adds Russia service

Wizz Air UK from October 2019 is launching service to Russia, on board Airbus A321 aircraft. From London Luton, the airline plan to operate 1 daily flight each to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Following schedule is effective from 28OCT19, as schedule varies from 01OCT19 to 27OCT19. London Luton – Moscow Vnukovo eff 01OCT19 1 daily A321

Wizz Air in the first half of winter 2019/20 season plans to expand service on various routes, including Edinburgh, Kutaisi, Lviv, Odessa and Vienna. The airline will also offer service from London Southend.

AerLingus moves forward A321neo LR Shannon – London service

AerLingus once again moved forward planned Airbus A321neo LR service on Shannon – London Heathrow route, previously scheduled from 13MAR20. The new launch date is now set on 14FEB20, initially operating 3 times weekly. A321neo LR service will increase to daily from 29MAR20.

Virgin Atlantic adds Sao Paulo service

Virgin Atlantic opened reservation for London Heathrow – Sao Paulo Guarulhos route, subject to Government Approval. The airline will operate this route once a day with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, from 29MAR20. For the moment, only full-fare J/W/Y-class is open for reservation, while the rest of fare classes will open later.

Thai Airways International S20 Europe service changes

Thai Airways International filed changes to summer 2020 operation to Europe. As of 06SEP19, planned changes as follow. Bangkok – London Heathrow eff 29MAR20 TG910/911 continues with A380 service, replacing planned 777-300ER. The airline previously removed A380 service on TG910/911

Wizz Air UK discontinues 5 routes in W19

Wizz Air UK in October 2019 is discontinuing 5 routes from London Luton for 2019/20, reflected in recent update on the airline’s website. Affected routes as follow.

  • London Luton – Catania Last flight 26OCT19

  • London Luton – Ljubljana Last flight 25OCT19

  • London Luton – Tallinn Last flight 23OCT19

Wizz Air UK adds Castellon service from Dec 2019

Wizz Air UK from December 2019 is adding new route to Spain, with service offering on London Luton – Castellon route. From 09DEC19, the airline plans to operate this route twice weekly, with Airbus A320 aircraft.

Virgin Atlantic extends A340-600 service to Dec 2019

Virgin Atlantic extended Airbus A340-600 operation, previously scheduled until 26OCT19. Revised A340-600 service sees the aircraft scheduled until 08DEC19 inclusive. Planned A340 service as of 15SEP19 as follows.

  • London Heathrow – Delhi 29OCT19 – 31OCT19 (Delhi departs the following day)

Ural Airlines delays planned London service

Russian carrier Ural Airlines revised planned launch date for Moscow Zhukovsky – London Stansted route. The new launch date is now scheduled on 20DEC19, instead of 27OCT19. Reservation for this Airbus A320 service remains unavailable, although the airline continues to file 4 weekly flights.

British Airways S20 Tokyo Narita aircraft changes

British Airways filed additional changes for London Heathrow – Tokyo Narita route for summer 2020 season. Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will continue to operate this route for entire summer 2020 season.

Air Canada S20 Ottawa – London aircraft changes

Air Canada within the last 2-3 days completed schedule update for Ottawa – London Heathrow route, reflecting the airline’s announcement on aircraft changes for summer 2020 season. From 29MAR20, the Star Alliance carrier will operate Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on this route, replacing 767-300ER.
