Aegean Airlines S19 London Heathrow service increases

Aegean Airlines plans to increase Athens – London Heathrow service in summer 2019, as selected period sees up to 24 weekly flights. Additional service will be operating as A3606/607, with Airbus A320 aircraft. Operational schedule and period for additional service as follows.

As usual, Aegean Airlines will not serve London Gatwick during summer season. Athens – London Gatwick service is set to return from 29OCT19, currently listed as 3 weekly A321 operation.

 

American Airlines W19 Long-Haul changes American Airlines filed additional changes to its planned winter 2019/20 operation, for long-haul service. Planned adjustment as follows:

  • Los Angeles – London Heathrow 27OCT19 – 17DEC19 AA108/109 777-200ER replaces -300ER

  • Miami – London Heathrow eff 27OCT19 Increases from 1 to 2 daily, additional service operated by 777-200ER

  • Philadelphia – London Heathrow eff 27OCT19 Reduces from 2 to 1 daily

  • Phoenix – London Heathrow will become year-round operation, with 1 daily 777-200ER service maintained on/after 27OCT19.

 

AtlasGlobal schedules A330 Western Europe service Turkish carrier AtlasGlobal scheduled Airbus A330 service to Western Europe on selected dates. Planned A330 service includes the following:

  • Istanbul – London Stansted 06APR19 – 11APR19 2 weekly; 18APR19 one-flight

 

Blue Air removes Bucharest – London Heathrow S19 preliminary schedule Blue Air removed its schedule listing for tje Bucharest – London Heathrow route. The airline’s preliminary schedule first appeared in the week of 24FEB19 and included twoweekly flights from 31MAR19. Reservations are not available on the airline’s website. Previously filed preliminary schedule was:

British Airways extends Air Belgium A340 operations British Airways in last week’s schedule update extended leased Air Belgium A340 service operation into mid-Summer 2019. As of 15MAR19, planned A340 operation is:

  • 09JUN19 – 17AUG19 London Heathrow – Toronto BA093/092

 

British Airways outlines A350-1000XWB long-haul service British Airways today (announced planned long-haul service with its new Airbus A350-1000XWB aircraft, with configuration of J56W56Y219. For Long-haul routes, the A350 will enter service by October 2019. Short-Haul service will initially be served by mid-Summer.

British Airways resumes Dammam service British Airways is resuming service to Dammam in Saudi Arabia from December 2019, with 1-stop Boeing 777-200ER service. From 01DEC19, the oneWorld carrier’s daily London Heathrow – Bahrain sector will extend to Dammam.

FlyOne adds Chisinau – London Southend service FlyOne is to introduce a new service to the UK in the 3rd quarter of 2019. The airline plans to operate a Chisinau – London Southend route with Airbus A319 aircraft. The airline will serve the route twice a week from 19JUL19 (once a week from 14SEP19).

JAL London Heathrow service changes Japan Airlines adjusted Tokyo Haneda – London Heathrow route. From from 29AUG19 JL041/042 will continue to be served by 161-seater Boeing 787-8, featuring 3-class cabin. Planned 186-seater without Premium Economy Class cabin, is now scheduled to operate this flight from 05NOV19.

Kuwait Airways further expands London Heathrow Kuwait Airways has opened reservation for additional service on Kuwait City – London Heathrow route, expands to up to 13 weekly flights. From 01APR19, the carrier will increase overall service from 10 to 12 weekly, with the new KU105/106 service. A 13th weekly flight will be added from 25MAY19. Prior to this latest adjustment, the airline previously filed up to 11 weekly flights for summer 2019 season.

Loganair re-schedules Carlisle launch Loganair announced revised launch date for service at Carlisle, now scheduled from July 2019. The airline will serve Belfast City, Dublin and London Southend with Saab 340 aircraft eff 04JUL19:

Turkish Airlines further expands Antalya network Turkish Airlines continues to expand international service from Antalya with the scheduling of additional 5 routes in summer 2019. Planned additional new routes include:

Uzbekistan Airways delays A320neo London Heathrow service Uzbekistan Airways in recent schedule update delayed planned Airbus A320neo service entry on Tashkent – London Heathrow route. The A320neo is now scheduled to enter service from 19APR19, replacing 757, 2 weeks later than planned.

Configuration of the A320neo is C12Y138, however based on listing in the OAG, the airline is display available seats for sale as C10Y100 from TAS, C10Y120 from LHR. This also applies to Tashkent – Paris CDG route, scheduled with A320neo service from 14JUN19 to 23AUG19.

 

Virgin Atlantic adds A340-600 Atlanta service Virgin Atlantic during the month of April 2019 is adjusting operational aircraft for London Heathrow – Atlanta route, as the airline scheduled Airbus A340-600 operation, replacing A330-300 (except 16APR19). The A340 is also scheduled on 27MAY19 and 03JUN19.

WestJet updates Calgary – London Gatwick schedule WestJet extended Boeing 787-9 schedule listing into winter 2019/20 season, as the 787 service on Calgary – London Gatwick route becomes year-round operation. For winter season from 27OCT19, WestJet will operate 3 weekly flights, identical to winter 2018/19 season. Schedule is effective 03NOV19 – 29NOV19:

Wizz Air S19 A321neo operations Wizz Air updated Airbus A321neo operations in the GDS as well as the OAG, as the airline adjusted planned operational network with the new Airbus aircraft.

As of 01MAR19, planned A321neo operations are:

  • Budapest – London Luton eff 15MAR19 20 weekly, 6 weekly from 31MAR19 (previous plan: 7 weekly)

 

Wizz Air further expands Polish network Wizz Air announced further service expansion for its Polish network, including the addition of 3rd aircraft to be based at Krakow. Planned new routes include:

  • Gdansk – London Gatwick eff 15JUN19 1 daily A321

 

WOW air ceases all services WOW air has ceased operating and all services have been cancelled. The airline previously filed changes to its planned summer 2019 operation with once-daily Reykjavik Keflavik – London Stansted replacing twice-daily London Gatwick.
