Air Canada mainline international changes for Summer 2019

Air Canada filed changes to its planned international mainline operation for the summer 2019 season.

  • Montreal – London Heathrow operated by A330-300 replacing 787-9, eff 01MAY19

  • Vancouver – London Heathrow seasonal 2nd daily operated by 787-8, replacing -9 eff 01JUN19 (overall one daily on 787-8 and -9)

 

Air Moldova additional routes

Air Moldova plans to add 3 destinations to its network during the summer 2019 season, including service resumption to London Gatwick.

Chisinau – London Gatwick two weekly A319, eff 07JUN19

  • 9U835 KIV1950 – 2050LGW 319 57

  • 9U836 LGW2150 – 0250+1KIV 319 57

 

British Airways London Heathrow long-haul changes for summer 2019

British Airways has filed additional changes to its planned summer 2019 long-haul service at London Heathrow, effective from 31MAR19.

London Heathrow – Boston:

  • A380 service expands from 3 weekly to 7 weekly eff 31MAR19

London Heathrow – Calgary:

  • 787-9 operates on Day 4, replacing -8 eff 09MAY19 (except 27JUN19 – 15AUG19)

London Heathrow – Charleston SC:

  • New seasonal 787-8 service, 2 weekly eff 04APR19

London Heathrow – Dubai:

  • Reduced from 21 to 12 weekly 16APR19 – 30MAY19. Seven of 12 weekly operated by A380 from 16APR19 to 04MAY19

London Heathrow – Islamabad:

  • Service resumption, 787-8 operates 3 weekly eff 02JUN19

London Heathrow – Johannesburg:

  • BA051/050 787-9 replaces -8, 4 weekly, eff 31MAR19

London Heathrow – Los Angeles:

  • BA283/282 31MAR19 – 30SEP19 744 daily (previously not specified, BA to operate 10 weekly A380 service to Los Angeles in October 2019)

  • BA268/269 31MAR19 – 26OCT19 744 Day x157

London Heathrow - Montreal:

London Heathrow – Osaka Kansai:

  • 4 weekly 787-8 service, eff 31MAR19

London Heathrow – Pittsburgh:

  • 4 weekly 787-8 service, new route eff 02APR19

London Heathrow – Riyadh:

  • 777-200ER replaces 747-400, 1 daily 05MAY19 – 31MAY19

London Heathrow – San Diego:

  • Selected dates operated by 777-200ER, replacing -300ER 31MAY19 – 16JUN19

London Heathrow – Washington Dulles:

  • BA293/292 747-400 replaces 777-200ER 05MAY19 – 20JUL19

 

China Southern changes for summer 2019

hina Southern has filed selected long-haul changes for summer 2019 season.

  • Guangzhou – London Heathrow: 17APR19 – 29MAY19 787-9 replaces -8, daily (except selected dates)

  • Wuhan – London Heathrow: eff 01APR19 787-8 continues operating 3 weekly, replacing A330-200

 

Garuda Indonesia resumes first class service to London

Garuda Indonesia plans to re-introduce 3-class Boeing 777-300ER service to London Heathrow, with the return of first class service in the 3rd quarter of 2019. From 09JUL19 to 14SEP19, the 3-class aircraft will replace 2-class aircraft on Jakarta – London Heathrow – Denpasar routing.

LOT Polish Airlines plans Vilnius – London City

LOT Polish Airlines announced launch of service on the Vilnius – London City route, scheduled with Embraer E190 aircraft. First flight will commence on 01MAY19, operating twice daily on weekdays, one on weekends.

Qatar Airways increases A350-1000XWB service to London Heathrow

Qatar Airways is increasing Airbus A350-1000XWB operations on Doha – London Heathrow route during summer 2019, currently served once a day as QR15/16. From 31MAR19, -1000XWB service will increase to two daily as QR7/8 switches to -1000XWB (replacing 777-300ER), except 01JUN19 – 15JUL19. Planned A350-1000XWB schedule follows - the airline operates 6 daily flights to Heathrow:

  • QR007 DOH0900 – 1410LHR 351 D

  • QR015 DOH1515 – 2025LHR 351 D

  • QR008 LHR1600 – 0050+1DOH 351 D

  • QR016 LHR2155 – 0645+1DOH 351 D

 

Vueling expands Alicante network

Vueling is expanding network offering at Alicante, with the addition of 5 new/resumed routes in summer 2019 season. Planned additions include the following.

  • Alicante – London Gatwick eff 07APR19 6 weekly A320

 

Wizz Air further network expansions in Summer 2019

Wizz Air has announced service expansion from Ohrid, Skopje, Timisoara and Tirana, with the launch of 13 new routes.

Frequency Increase:

  • Timisoara – London Luton eff 01SEP19 Increase from 7 to 12 weekly
