LEVEL from 15AUG19 is increasing Amsterdam – London Luton service, as the airline operates 2nd daily flight. With this service increase, Vueling will no longer operate this route.

Virgin Atlantic further expands A350 New York JFK service in W19 Virgin Atlantic continues to file expanded Airbus A350-1000XWB service on London Heathrow – New York JFK route. From 05NOV19, VS003/004 to be operated by A350-900XWB, instead of 787-9. Overall A350 service will increase to up to 3 daily (2 daily on Tuesdays). The following is A350-operating schedule.

TAP Air Portugal moves last A340 service to late-Oct 2019 TAP Air Portugal filed additional changes to its planned Airbus A340-300 operation. Previously scheduled until late-December 2019, the carrier’s A340 service is now scheduled until the end of Northern summer schedule on 26OCT19.

The following is last A340-300 operation on various routes in late-October 2019. Lisbon – London Heathrow Last flight 22OCT19 Planned A340-300 operation remains subject to change.

China Southern Aug - Oct 2019 London aircraft changes China Southern filed aircraft changes on selected routes to London Heathrow, including service from Sanya and Zhengzhou.

Sanya – London Heathrow A330-200 operates from 01AUG19 to 26OCT19, replacing 787-8. Selected weeks will be reduced from 2 to 1 weekly

Air Antwerp schedules Sep 2019 launch Air Antwerp from September 2019 is launching operations, operating up to 3 daily Antwerp – London City service. Fokker 50 aircraft will operate this route from 09SEP19. Reservation is available under KLM’s KL-coded flight numbers since late last week.

Previously scheduled from 01JUL19 to 30AUG19, the 777-300ER is now scheduled to operate until 04OCT19. This route is served 3 times a week.

SAS adds Salen / Scandinavian Mountains Airport service SAS announced new service launch to Salen / Scandinavian Mountains Airport, set to commence in late-December 2019 on seasonal basis. London Gatwick – New York JFK eff 21MAY20 Service resumption, 5 weekly A330-200 (6 weekly from 13JUN19, 7 weekly from 27JUL20). This route was previously served from August 1989 to August 1991

Thomas Cook revises Cairns charter routing

Thomas Cook Airlines revised planned routing for its one-time Cairns charter in January 2020. The airline now plans to operate London Gatwick – Seoul Incheon – Cairns routing, replacing Goa in India. Airbus A330-200 aircraft operates this charter service.

Saudia filed international service changes for winter 2019/20 season. Planned changes as of 21AUG19 as follow.

TAP Air Portugal Europe network changes TAP Air Portugal filed changes for European network, which sees selected routes discontinued in late-October 2019 and early-November 2019.

  • Lisbon – London City Reservation closed on/after 26OCT19

  • Porto – London City Reservation closed on/after 26OCT19

 

United extends Denver – London service to year-round United Airlines announced service extension for Denver – London Heathrow route, as the airline maintains operation during winter season. From 01NOV19, this route will be served 6 times a week, on board Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, Subject to Government Approval.

British Airways S20 London Gatwick long-haul changes British Airways filed long-haul service changes for London Gatwick in summer 2020 season. Planned changes as follows.

  • 31MAR20 – 21APR20, 07JUL20 – 01SEP20

  • London Gatwick – Las Vegas 01JUL20 – 31AUG20 Reduce from 6 to 5 weekly

  • London Gatwick – Orlando 03JUL20 – 31AUG20 Reduce from 14 to 13 weekly

  • London Gatwick – St. Lucia 04JUL20 – 29AUG20 Increase from 7 to 9 weekly

 

Thomas Cook resumes London Gatwick – Lemnos service

Thomas Cook Airlines in summer 2020 season plans to resume London Gatwick – Lemnos route, previously served with Boeing 757-200 until October 2014. From 25MAY20, Airbus A321 aircraft will operate this route once a week.

Fly Bosnia schedules London launch Fly Bosnia opened reservation for its planned Sarajevo – London Luton service, scheduled from 24SEP19. Based on the airline’s web booking system, the airline plans to operate this route 3 times a week with Airbus A319.

Thomas Cook NW20 Cape Town Preliminary adjustment Thomas Cook Airlines filed preliminary schedule listing for flights in Northern winter 2020/21 season. Based on preliminary listing, the airline currently lists 2 weekly London Gatwick – Cape Town flights, compared to 3 weekly flights in Northern winter 2019/20.

In Northern winter 2020/21 season, service operates from 12DEC20 to 16MAR21. Additional changes remain possible in the next few months.

The addition of 4th weekly service in summer 2021 season will begin from 31MAR21, 5 weeks earlier compared to summer 2020 season (from 06MAY20). Current schedule is listed until 30APR21 inclusive, and further changes is likely in the next few months.

British Airways Sep 2020 Mumbai service adjustment British Airways extended schedule listing into September 2020. Based on schedule listing, the oneWorld member filed service changes for London Heathrow – Mumbai route from 08SEP20. From this date, preliminary schedule filing is displaying BA139/138 operated by 3-class 777-200ER aircraft, replacing 4-class aircraft.

With this adjustment, only 1 of 3 daily flight will see First Class service (BA135/134), instead of 2. Additional changes remain highly possible in the next few months.
