Air Serbia increases London service

Air Serbia is increasing Belgrade – London Heathrow service from mid-May 2019 with overall operation increasing from 9 to 16 weekly. Additional service will be operated by Airbus A319, effective from 19MAY19.

Air Serbia adds Etihad A320 aircraft for London service Air Serbia earlier this month expanded Belgrade – London Heathrow service, as overall frequency increased from nine to 16 weekly since 19MAY19. The additional service is operated by Etihad Airways Airbus A320, instead of previously planned Airbus A319.

Albawings London frequency variations Albawings is adjusting Tirana – London Stansted service in summer 2019 season, when it plans to operate up to three weekly flights, compared to four weekly in summer 2018. Seasonal operation in 2019 commences on 13JUN19, initially twice weekly, increasing to three weekly from 02JUL19. Operational days and schedules as follow.

  • 13JUN19 – 30JUN19 2 weekly (Day 47)

  • 02JUL19 – 24OCT19 3 weekly (Day 247)

British Airways ends Ft. Lauderdale service British Airways closed reservation for London Gatwick – Ft. Lauderdale service, which sees the oneWorld carrier operating last flight on 07SEP19. Schedules on/after 29MAR20 for summer 2020 season was also removed by Friday 28APR19.

British Airways adjusts London Heathrow - Doha route

British Airways is adjusting service on London Heathrow – Doha route, currently operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft. From 08MAY19 to 28MAY19, this route will be temporary suspended. Flight will be resumed on 29MAY19, LHR departure.

British Airways W19 Phoenix aircraft changes British Airways moved forward planned Boeing 747-400 aircraft replacement on London Heathrow – Phoenix route. At the start of winter 2019/20 schedule from 27OCT19, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will operate this route, replacing the 747.

Following schedule effective 03NOV19 – 07MAR20:

  • BA289 LHR1430 – 1830PHX 789 D

  • BA288 PHX2040 – 1335+1LHR 789 D

The oneWorld carrier’s preliminary schedule listing in summer 2020 season from 29MAR20 is displaying Boeing 777-300ER operation for this route.

 

British Airways London Heathrow Long-Haul changes for winter 2019/20 British Airways filed additional changes to its winter 2019/20 long-haul service from London Heathrow. As of 15MAY19, planned changes includes the following.

  • London Heathrow – Bangalore eff 01JAN20 A350-1000XWB replaces 777-200ER

  • (Planned 787-9 service from 27OCT19 to 31DEC19 unchanged)

  • London Heathrow – Boston eff 27OCT19 Increase from 24 to 25 weekly (Planned 787-8 service on Day 4 as BA203/202 unchanged)

  • London Heathrow – Jeddah eff 27OCT19 Reduce from 6 weekly in W18 to 5 weekly. One of five weekly service operated by 3-class 777-200ER (275-seater), instead of 4-class

  • London Heathrow – Philadelphia eff 27OCT19 Increase from 10 to 12 weekly

  • London Heathrow – Tel Aviv eff 01DEC19 BA163/162 A350-1000XWB replaces 787-8

  • London Heathrow – Austin: eff 29OCT19 Day 2 service operated by 777-200ER, instead of -300ER

  • London Heathrow – Bahrain – Dammam: eff 01DEC19 Bahrain service extends to Dammam, 777-200ER operates 1 daily. Dammam was previously served until March 2002

  • London Heathrow – Dallas/Ft. Worth: eff 27OCT19 747-400 replaces 777-200ER, one daily

  • London Heathrow – Dubai: eff 27OCT19 747-400 once again scheduled on one of three daily flight, operating BA109/108, instead of BA107/106 in W18 (BA107/106 operated by A350-1000XWB)

  • London Heathrow – Johannesburg: eff 27OCT19 Service continues to operate 14 weekly, instead of 18

  • London Heathrow – Los Angeles: eff 27OCT19 BA281/280 747-400 replaces 787-9 (overall two daily 747 and one daily A380)

  • London Heathrow – Miami: eff 27OCT19 BA209/208 747-400 replaces A380, overall three daily 747 in W19

  • London Heathrow – Osaka Kansai: eff 27OCT19 three weekly service during winter, instead of four in summer operated by 787-8

  • London Heathrow – Washington Dulles: eff 27OCT19 BA217/216 A380 replaces 747-400

 

British Airways expands A350 Dubai service British Airways during the month of March 2020 is increasing Airbus A350-1000XWB aircraft service on London Heathrow – Dubai route. From 01MAR20 to 28MAR20 (LHR departure), BA105/104 will be operated by A350, instead of 777-200ER.

Planned 777-300ER service from 01JUL19 remains unchanged, however this is now scheduled until 30AUG19, instead of 27SEP19.

Virgin Atlantic Miami aircraft changes Virgin Atlantic during summer 2019 season is adjusting operational aircraft for London Heathrow – Miami route. This service is scheduled with Boeing 787-9, from 01JUN19 to 30SEP19, instead of Airbus A330-300.

Virgin Atlantic resumes Mumbai service

Virgin Atlantic late last week opened reservation for London Heathrow – Mumbai service,scheduled to resume on 27OCT19. Boeing 787-9 aircraft will operate this route once a day.The airline previously served this route until January 2015.

WestJet outlines 787-9 International service WestJet filed Boeing 787-9 aircraft service in winter 2019/20 season. The 787-9 aircraft will be introduced on following routes.

  • Toronto – London Gatwick: eff 23OCT19 1 daily

Separately, the airline in winter 2019/20 season will add 4th weekly flight for Calgary – London Gatwick route, operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
